Holly and Raymond met while working 9 to 5 (look, another song reference) together and became friends thru sharing their stories.
Raymond often regales Holly with tales of OLD on Fry Street, where he worked at Jim’s Diner, UNT, & Mr. Chopstick’s and was a nice ne’er-do-well who managed to pay his bills while playing in a few bands. Raymond was not in line when God was handing out work ethics to people, so he drifted from job to job until a few wonderful people took him in hand and showed him what responsible work was. Raymond became a useful person in his 30's and found employment at the local school district, but he never lost his fondness for his younger, irresponsible self. His love for music is unparalleled.
Holly has a background in psychology and a profound interest in all things creative, with special attention given to good films and music. A poet, in her own write, she grew up with one foot rooted in the idyllic 90's present while the other foot hovered over the "NEXT GREAT THING IN TECHNOLOGY" that VOWED to CHANGE EVERYTHING ABOUT OUR WORLD. Now, in this post-literate society, her goal is to tell stories that convey ideas to the audience it might not otherwise be exposed to. A welcomed by-product of that would be... changing perspectives, altering perceptions.
Born in 1960, Raymond joined the latter of the Baby Boomers. Nearly three decades later, Holly began riding the wave of the Millennial generation. Both are self-proclaimed flower children born at the wrong time - or the right time?
Either way, the only thing to do was to write about it.
Godspeed!
Over the past few years, we've recruited voice actors, held team meetings & table readings, and (literally) fleshed-out our characters. We've met new people, made new friends. We hang out and learn from each other.
We also began promoting the project across many social media and streaming platforms!
